I agree, a picture would be nice. In fact a “cleaned-up” Riverhead yard would be a great opportunity!
Knowing WHERE that car is, I can’t help but wonder if the “taggers” (read vandals) have ruined it yet. If you want pictures, get 'em QUICK !

I remember riding the P72’s all too well. The double deckers were not always the easiest to get in and out of, but they were fun cars to ride. I don’t have a shot of the baggage car, but here’s LI 200

Wow, neat photo, Tom. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of those LIRR double-deckers, even in a book. I’ve heard of the museum but I haven’t been there. I’ll definately have to get out there sometime this summer.
