Railroad photographer, author Jim Neubauer dies
Condolences to the ones who are close. Another name of renown passes…
I’m proud to say that Jim Neubauer was a friend of mine. He truly loved railroading and had a talent for expressing that in his very engaging writing. Those of us at Kalmbach who knew him will miss his annual visits and his wonderful memories of people like Dave Morgan, Rosy Entringer and George Gloff. Rest in peace, Jim.
There will also be an empty chair at next year’s meeting of the Center for Rail Photography and Art. What a guy he was. Don
Jim was, without question, one of the finest men one could
ever meet. He was constantly kind to everyone, and always
took the time to carefully and respectfully answer any question
he fielded. I feel fortunate to have worked with him in train
service at Mid-Continent, and he will be sincerely missed by
many, many friends.
