Railroad photographer Sandy Goodrick dies

Fabulous photos of the Milwaukee Lines West electrified action…he caught it when it was at its post-war peak.

too bad our rail heritage is dyeing. Only if more people took pictures its too bad.

Corresponded w/SAG since release of Under MILW Wires eighteen years ago. He got a lot of other action on BA&P as well as then-GN, NP, SP&S, and UP during that time (first half of 1950’s) in Montana and Pacific NW. He was a fine photographer, making use of original Kodachrome when many were still shooting b&w, and a true gentleman - he will be missed!

We never personally met, but I have talked on the phone a few times. I was always going to try to go to his house but never did.
I am thankful he took pictures here in Porter and Lake County, especially the B&O shots in Portage where I live. God bless his soul
