I need the phone number for the UPRR Police. Because I was watching two young kids put something on the Track up at 12th street crossing. By the time I tryied to go get my phone it was too late,a westbound already had come into town. That makes me very mad when I see something like that.
Thanks.
The number in my cell phone is for UP’s Grade Crosing Hotline, and is 1-800-767-3884. They should be able to help you.
You know what when I see people, not just kids disrespecting railroad property it really gets me annoyed. If I were a railroad police officer I would approch that situation or the people themselves with a real straight face.
The phone number for the UP Risk Management is 1-888-877-7267 (888-UPRR-COP).

Jeff is correct.

Well the first line, before the call, should be a person shouting at the kids to “knock-it-off!” If the kid’s action continues, point your camera at them and fire off a frame, then say; “the cops are going to get your picture, and bust you!”
911, has the numbers, and at times can get through and make those answering aware of a bad situation much faster than a direct call by you at times. All of the above is judgement on your part as the observer. And yes, 1-888-877-7267 will get you to Union Pacific!

Thank you all very much because I do take this very seriously when it come to Railroad vandilision.
BNSFrailfan.
BNSF railfan,
Why didn’t you try and chase them off ? What if whatever they put on the tracks had caused a derailment? Wouldn’t that make you feel bad for not stopping them ?
I wouldn’t do that because it could get you hurt or worse. Then it is a lose lose because you cant make the call, and they go back right to what they are doing, and that ain’t good for anything.
Just make the call and stay safe.

Come on, Two young kids are going to hurt you ??? Lets be real here.
Just get a stick, swing it like a maniac, and run after them, that should scare the *** out of them.
I got that # in my cell phone also.
Umm, not sure what its like where you are, but I see too much violence with middleschool and highschool kids that have guns.
