Railroad songs.

Im looking for some good Railroad songs to Download. Any thoughts.

Allan.

I’ve really took a shine to The Canadian Railroad Trilogy by Gordon Lightfoot, and Riding on a railroad (i perfer the live verson) by James Taylor.

With you being a BNSF fan, check this out. First, down load the song Venice Queen by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Then go to the link listed.

Start Venice Queen 10 seconds into the video. Now, when I hear the song, it makes me think of the railroad.

hope that helps!

Sure. Take a look at the following threads:

Listen to the song DRIVER 8 by R.E.M. – GREAT song!

Wow, that’s a great video.

My all time favorite is the Wabash Cannonball. A traditional version can be heard at

The Kansas State Univ marching band plays a lively instrumental version of the same song at all athletic events. Check it out and listen to the snare drum which souds exactly like train wheels hiting a diamond.

The Cannonball played on a 5-string banjo is the background music on The Wabash Railroad Historical Society website. It’s a classic that I think you’ll truly enjoy hearing.
