I watch lots of train videos with lots of railfans at the site or by trackside taking pictures.How or where do you folks get info on upcoming trin events? The magazines have past reports on the events but no upcoming railroad runs listed. Is there a particular web site to find out this info? I would appreciate any info so I can enjoy this part of the hobby. Thanks,Mike
Some of the special trains that are open to the public to ride are listed in the “Coming Events” sections or their equivalent in railfan magazines such as Trains. Some special trains could be listed in news of special events while others may be just through word of mouth or the “railfan grapevine.” Sometimes special trains are a come-by-chance proposition in that they just happen to show up when you are trackside. In a few cases the railroads that sponsor the special trains may publicize their schedules on their web-sites.
