Railroad that bought IMRL???

I have been trying to think of the name of the new railroad that bought IMRL. I know it was DM&E, but they named the railroad that replaced the IMRL something else. Chicago and Eastern or something like that I think. I am sure someone on here can remember what it is called. Does anyone on here know if they are taking advantage of their trackage rights over the CP yet and running trains to the Twin Cities. I know IMRL ran a freight each way(232 and 233) as well as an intermodal each way from Kansas City(98 and 99) over the CP to the Twin Cities. Is the new railroad doing this as well and if they are, doesn anyone have any idea what the trains symbol or ID’s are. Thanks for any help.

The railroad’s name is Iowa, Chicago, & Eastern. As far as I know, it’s running all the same trains as IMRL did. It switched from numbers to alpha codes. I think 232 is MKCSP, 233 is MSPKC (St. Paul to Kansas City manifest). 98 and 99? IC&E has now recieved a small handful of painted units GP’s and SD40-2. Hope this is helpful.

Yes. That is helpful. Thanks very much. The question mark by 98 and 99, does that mean you don’t know there symbol or you don’t know if they are running the intermodal trains. Thanks again

Sorry, I dont’t know if the intermodals are still running. If they are I have not heard any train symbols for them. Glad to help you with the other info.
