Since Lotus is probably working on a term paper due Monday[;)], I thought I’d ask this question:
What railroad bought more GE C36-7 locomotives than any other? 422 to be exact. ?
Answer: China National (?) Railways

Not close, no cigar.[;)]
They did wear green paint though, didn’t they ?[:-,]
[(-D][(-D][(-D] And apparantly, they were all ordered with low[;)] short hoods too!
Hint: I don’t think that railroad has merged anybody in quite a while.[;)]
Didn’t Big Blue have a slug of these?

Union Pacifc
I think a good number of them were built in Altoona too.

No, but it is an eastern railroad.[;)]

I’m having a good laugh too. I was about to post that none of our Canadian railways bought dash 7s when I remembered which railroad it was.

Would that have been the Southern ??? [?]
So confused!!! They wore green…I don’t even know any big railroads that wear green otehr than BN!! And I was going to take this one!
I am preaty sure Southern wore green but I could be wrong??? [?]
China Railway And I actually had a sneaking suspicion of it before the pic [:P]
The answer, which I found interesting, is that the Chinese bought the most C36-7’s. All seem to have been painted green, and built with low, short hoods.
I wrote “of sorts” to point out that I’m not trying to steal Lotus’s fire, just goofing off, and wondering if Lotus got that homework asignment done yet.[:)]
