I’m in the planning stages of starting a new web site for railroaders (Brakemen, engineers etc,) My brother is an engineer and thinks this would be cool.
The idea is to help railroaders get their safety boots drop shipped to their home, any brand you want, and be able to use your vouchers. (No cost to you). You would enter an online catalogue and view all brands, colors & sizes. For those unsure of foot size, a kit (to measure your foot) could be sent to your home before deciding size.
I’m working on having free shipping, too. Returns would be free, also.[/size=2]
Additionally, all the clothing, grips, watches, miscellaneous that railroaders want would be available. We are railraoders and know the good stuff you want. [/green]Would this Web site be of interest to you??? Any other ideas for the site??
that sounds great …but CSX dont give boot vouchers anymore… we order our boots directy thorugh the CSX websight under one of the employees menus… and they are shipped right to your house…

And NS employees don’t get any such thing as an assist on boots, so there goes a big potential share of the market. I’ve personally found it difficult to order something like shoes on-line, I like to try them on before I purchase them, don’t know if most are like me but it would be something to consider. Is this your market research?
There used to be someone in Colorado who was, I think, a DRG&W engineer, who used to send out a catalog yearly. I bought a couple of things from him, including a Lois Beers grip that has served me well but he must have gotten out of the business a long time ago, I haven’t had anything from him in years. Anyone else remember this fellow and what his company was called?
