I was looking at the proximityissues map the other day. I noticed there wasn’t any rail lines between the Canadian National mainline in the north & the Canadian Pacific mainline in the south.
Was there any rail lines between the two especially through the Consort - Cornation area[?]
Yes. Eastern Alberta was well covered by CN and CP from Cold Lake to the US border.

Thanks naniamo73 for the maps. [;)]
I guess most of the lines I was referring to my above post were abandoned as they depended on the wheat business.
Docster , I must agree with you about very little service west of the Alberta-Saskatchewan border, North -South traffic in this region is almost non existant, the only area serviced N&S is from Camrose and only to Youngstown and this is getting westward towards the middle of tthe province. Any connection between CP and CN or any north-south traffiic had to go east or west over towards Saskatoon or Edmonton, then head south,I can’t find any connection from Cold Lake directly south to the US border.
