Ok ppl, I am starting a new job as an over the road trucker with Central Refridgeration. Before I start my job, I have to go down to Irving Texas to for training to get my Class A CDL.
Does anyone here know of much Rail Action in Arving Texas? I am wanting to do some railfanning while I am down there!

I dont get to Irving very much,but there is a couple of lines thru there,UP,BNSF There used to be the T&NE short line there but I think they have gone out of business.and last but not least is the TRE light rail and DART commuter trains…Theyre yard is in Irving at the old RI yard just south of downtwn Irv. Check under the transit forum for railroadjj,he works for Dart and could probably tell you more about Irving than I can…
good luck on train viewing. All CDL training I know of is 10hr/day 6 days a week.
I sure dont want to bust your bubble on getting cdl training, driving a big 18 wheeler., but knowing what i know., i would go to nearest railroad that is hiring.You are about to make a big decision …
