RAILROADS PROVING INVALUABLE

I am very proud of the role Amtrack and the other railroads are playing in helping our nation to continue operating. I couldn’t imagine the Northeast being able to function right now without Amtrack and the new Acela trains have proved to be a blessing for many folks. The freight railroads are doing a great job handling the extra UPS and mail business that has been diverted to them. The railroad indusrty is also transporting many emergency supplies to New York.
I hope those politicians such as John Mc cain & Richard Shelby that have been trying to kill Amtrack will see how invaluable having an efficient National passenger and freight rail system is to our nation. We need to let our politicians Republicans and Democrats know this.
I want to thank all the people in the railroad industry for the extra effort they have been giving this week and in the coming months.

I agree 100%, but it doesn’t do any good to “preach to the choir”. Don’t just comment here–tell your Senator and Congressman.
