OK All,
Just got back from a two day and two night orientation at Widener U. in Chester outside of Philly. WOW that sure is different from here in sticksville. There is only one other electrical engineering student[:(]…her name is sara[8D] (why thats a nice digital multimeter you have[:D]).
Ahem, next order of business, I saw tracks RIGHT next to campus, and did here something go by, but wasnt able to get there in time. Anybody know who owns the single track next to I-95? Please be anything but amtrak, i’m sick of amtrak.
Otherwise Widner is very nice and i am happy with it.
Oh, and by the way, I brought duct tape with me and used it when a girls bookbag strap broke. Didn’t use the tie for anything though, is that for formal situations?
The single track that runs down I-95 in Pa and Delaware is CSX. Its the old B&O main line from Washington to Philly.
The NEC (Amtrak) is a bit off of I95 and can be seen in Delaware if you use 495. It does cross under I95 in PA around the Blue Route. It also cross under I95 in Wilmington, De and in Maryland just sount of the Delaware and Maryland state line.
I see a lot of mixed trains and auto trains. There is a large auto processing center between Wilmington, DE and Philly, near the Barry Bridge just off of 95.
Also, in DE, you can see NS working off the NEC for a Chrsyler Plant in DE and for Dupont in DE.
You would think an electrical engineering student would know how to spell the necessary items of his trade. Hmmm, maybe he DID. [}:)]
Boys will be boys. [;)]
Dorm life will be much different than home life. You might even have an opportunity to test some electrical equipment. Just remember not to short out the dorm’s wiring. [:D] And NO jumping off the second story balcony either. (If there is one.) [B)]
And when you make it to the big leagues, you might find mitchell instruments a conveniant “one stop” shop for your probing desires http://www.mitchellinstrument.com/
