I chased the CalRail 2020 in Ventura rare mileage special this past Sunday from Saticoy to Piru and thought I would share some photogprahs for those who are interested.

First image is of the train at the Saticoy depot in Ventura.

Second is of the train after it crossed Briggs in Santa Paula.

Third is of the train going over the bridge in Fillmore. It’s no longer on rare mileage here.

What kind of freight traffic does this line typically see?

There’s a local that works about three days a week (I think) from Oxnard.

It only goes as far as the first two images. The area the second two images are taken on is only used by the tourist/dinner trains.
