Rare SF Wood Reefers found in pristine condition

Today’s Washington Post newspaper, page A2, has an article and photo of one of four wood reefer’s discovered in a warehouse they were tearing down in Santa Fe NM on SFSouthern property.

2 of the reefers likely will be preserved. They were covered in stucco and formed part of the warehouse structure. The stucco easily came off, revealing like new reefers.

If I remember correctly, the other two were destroyed before they figured out what they were. I saw a local-area news story that went into detail on that, but can’t find it now.
