sound to me like he needs 20 of the one size
Have you considered scratch-building these? Assuming you’ve got one to use as a model, you could make copies out of 1/8 inch balsa wood. The first couple would take a while, but once you get the hang of it you could knock the rest out while sitting in front of the tube watching a football game.
I got the “old creosote” look by adding some India Ink to some white wood stain. It wasn’t dark enough, so I added more dark color using a “wash” of India Ink in tap water.
In the end, you will have a much better looking set of trestles.
Hi,**dwhitetop2,**Paul W. Beverung
Did you get my Email’s Private Message’s I sent too you guys asking if you had the HO Treestle Tall Surrports I am needing.I am hoping you got the Message’s I sent you & Email’s,Please Email me just click my Name Santa Fe it should be there or just click where it say’s Email\PM.Thanks
Do yours have a number on the top crosspiece, right in the center? I’ve got 2 #9s, a 7 and a 5. There are probably more around, too. The ones I have are all for slopes. The crosspieces are not perpendicular to the vertical supports, but slightly angled to match the intended slope of the track. I don’t remember if they did that to the highest ones or not, or if those were flat. This is probably not a serious problem, but it might distort the rails slightly if you have stiff track.
Are trestles the only way you can go on this? Atlas still makes Bridge Piers and Bridge Pier Girders which are 3 inches high.
the 3 Inches Tall ones liek you mentioned, This is not for a Track it is for acoal Complex I made the Walther’s HO Glacier Gravel Co.Kit I will be using the 3 Inche Tall Gerders to hold up the Building. I too amd making from Scratch the New River Mining Kit. Due too cannot afford the Walther’s Kit.If I had the $$$ yes I would be purchasing that Kit New River Mining Ho-Scale. So that is why I am trying too make it very slow process for me. I want too have the New River mining kit across form the Coal Complex I have & have a 2 Conveyers. One that is coming from the New River Mining Kit going into a Mountain. The other Conveyer coming from the New river Miing too the Coal Builing.Hope this Helps.
OK, maybe I’m missing something here, but I would think the Atlas concrete supports would be more appropriate for holding up a building than the wooden trestle supports. However, it’s your RR and if that’s what you want, then more power to you. Let me look in Ye Olde Parts Bin and see if I have any.
