Re: COFFEE POT #11 [September], for all to take a drink and chat. Welcome all posters. 4 yrs old and still going.

She is done. Good new coffee for September.

Stil proud.

Glad to call this very nice young lady a friend. Man, that suit was hot. When I got home, shirt and top one foot of my pants were soaked. Head looked like I had been dunked in the pond. Good night all.

You look great, Chief.

So thats what you really look like.[:D]Good cause glad you do it Chief.

Morning all hope all have a great 1st of September.

Off to work talk to you all later.

Nice outfit there Chief! Well, good Sept 1st and a cup of new Joe. Didn’t sleep well last night and son woke early this morning. Guess I will go over his science book as he has a test this morning. He should do well.

If I get home in a timely fashion today, will be doing a little organizing in the train room as I have to figure what scenery items and accessories I have so we can plan the next phase of the pike. At least I will have some trains running.

Hope everyone has a great day!

God Bless,

dennis

Hi GYZ beauty here at 45 degrees for day 2 of school year. Great start yesterday, no pile ups or I mean no problems.

DENNIS, I had to convert a MTH CAT sales to make the BUDDA BING, Guess you can say I took one cat house and made it into another[:O][}:)][:P]. My girls needed a place to work at.

CHIEF, nice teller!

Stay safe,

Stay frosty,

Good morning all,

IIABSDISEI with temps in the low 70s. This is a rare event when I get to post on the first page of a coffeepot! I went to soccer practice for the girls last night. Basically stood around with the other helpers. Did work with one of the newbies on throw-ins. Got trash ready and picked up sticks in the yard. Went to the YMCA and did weights. Also did a slow jog for a half mile. I have to get my “air” up for next season. Not going to worry about time and speed reports at this point in time. Running/jogging uses different muscles than walking so I have to get them in shape. Need to be able to put in a solid 50 minutes of playing time and not be winded. Ended the evening helping wife cut coupons. Work went ok yesterday. Turned my Buffy calendar over to September and “Cordy” was on the page. My day is set for the next month! I had the regular fare on the dining car. Beacon is lit. I hope everyone has a good day.

BTW, Laz, I enjoyed your pictures. Looks like you had a good summer.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Morning. Up early compared to the time I went to bed. Think the sun is out. Had slow nice showers yesterday. Got luncheon to attend today. Grass mowing after that. Wife is wanting to go to Gettysburg in Oct. Will have to slip into Yankeeland for that one. Mike C., wish I could run for a solid 50. Everyone have a great day.

What a beautiful Sept. 1 in the Heartlands [8D] Temps in the mid 50’s with no humidity, I know the farmers are hoping for some more warm weather to fill out the soy beans. Without a doubt I think two of the nicest months of the year are Sept. & Oct., I’d like to be on the road travelling but that’s probably not going to happen this month with the birth of our Grandson. I sure hope it’s soon as his Mom is really miserable and not sleeping much, our son was born Sept. 5—could it be the same birthday for his son? that would be very cool.

I’ve been building more shelves for storage under the layout in the basement. It’s absolutely esential that nothing ever sits on the floor, I run a dehumidifer 24/7 down there along with central A/C and I’m still amazed at the water I dump out every day, even with low humidity outside. At times I’ve cussed every basement in every house we’ve lived in but yet I can’t imagine having a home without a basement, we are fortunate as train hobbyists to have the luxury of a basement—not everyone of us has that option.

I do the think the Chief looks very dapper today [tup]

Aloha all. Amen to what you said, Jon. Beautiful day here - began in the 40s… Soccer practice with the youngest last eve - he would’ve enjoyed meeting that striped critter. Having guests Friday means will have to spiff up the basement sometime this week to show off the layout.

Morning All:

Finally got a job interview tomorrow!! Out of work since january. Hope this comes through and I can put this part of my life behind me. Was looking at my 671 turbine yesterday. If I get this job I think I will have it professionly repainted/restored. Shes 60 years old and runs like it did when I was a little kid, and thats a long time ago. Beautiful day here in dirty jerz, catch ya later.

Steve

Good luck, Steve! Praying it goes well. Brutus, great news about your bride and sister-in-law match - and about Percy! Good price. 8ntruck, looking forward to a photo of your new Marx steamer after you fix 'er up. It’s free comic day at the local emporium - have to go by at lunch

Good Morning

A nice week forecast, 70s all the way.

Big breakfast of eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. I got the grass cut yesterday so need to change the oil in grannys car and we will wax it together, I told her this week while it’s nice. I may have to prod a little. Nice picture of the chief but I noticed he did not post the “after” with the tar and feathers…S.J.

Good luck Steve. Hope it works out. Praying it will. It is bad when people want to work and can’t get a job or are disabled. Then there are those [not like you] who ride the government. Again, good luck.

Chief: I would like to see you on your John Deere in that Outfit. LOL.

Steve: Good luck and our prayers are with you.

Laz: Neat pictures, Is that the pioneer tunnel that you were spending all your time at.

Hope all have a Great September.

Lew.

Mornin Fellas.

Hard to believe it is September already!

Finally have the pictures taken for SPF, should have them posted tonight. Then have to ship cars to JohnF.

Haven’t decided what to do about York. October could be very hectic for me and I’m just not sure I’ll be able to make it. Probably send in the registration and that way if I can go I’ll have my badge.

Just ordered the new shocks, struts, springs and install hardware for my Bimmer… UGH! Gonna take a couple months just to pay that off… then had to order new driver side mirror glass, new driver headlight lens and headlight gasket… have to get tires and an alignment too… not looking forward to this bill, especially now that we are armpit deep into the sunroom/screened porch project… there goes the vacation. [:(]

Now that would have been a good one. Still envy where you live. Bet you see some NS all the time. Take some photos and share. Good September to you too.

MIKE C, keep at the running, I get about 6 miles in 50 minutes slow and steady. From laz CAMP.

STEVE, good luck with job hunt.

LEE, yepper Pioneer Tunnel up in ASHLAND. You missed Pioneer Day, 3rd Saturday in August. Great time ate lots of BELINIES ( potatoe Cakes).

Nice outfit Chief! all you needed was one of those cat in the hat, hats like Scott Smith wears to York. Have a good trip to Gettysburg but watch out for the Yankees. The first time I went there, I innocently asked the docent at the cemetery if there were any confederate solders buried there too. He seemed highly indignant and said No!, they were the enemy. I thought that was a strange thing to say in this day and age. They were also Americans, I found the whole Gettysburg visit a very moving experience. Would love to do it again if I could. I was there one year on the anniversary of the battle, July 1,2, and 3rd. and got to see some reenactors in costume from both sides camped out in the woods next to the battlefield. One of the soldiers let me hold his muzzle loading rifle. Those things were heavy! I also got to see a confederate band with period costumes and instruments give a concert in the local high school that week. Most moving experience was walking the route of Pickett’s charge from where they started to the angle on the Union side. Made me realize what it must have been like being under fire over that vast distance. It was suicide. It’s a wonder that any of them survived that charge. This was where the Union got even for Fredericksburg.

Ray

Evening all not a lot happening here today Did goto work and worked a full day but thats about it. Just taking it easy tonight as still getting very sleepy as haven’t gotten the breathing machine yet I hope when I goto the doctor on the 8th I get it. Was awake quite a few times last night that I remember so not sure how many total.

hope all are doing great.

RT, is the breathing machine for a sleeping disorder or something else? I use oxygen at night only and have an oxygen concentrator machine but mine is for COPD. I only use it at night and I can go without oxygen in the daytime or when I’m awake. So far no problem. Hope you resolve your situation too.
