Re: Diesel Trains

The original Pioneer Zephyr traveled at 112.5 mph in 1934. Con Cor makes a model of it.

Later, some diesel pasenger locomotives such as E9’s could go about 100 mph also, but that was not the normal speed.

Many model railroaders prefer slower speeds because it looks more realistic.

Got an old LL power truck F-7 that goes about 100 actual MPH.

Or the ancient Athearn F7’s that went Mach 7…

Lil Guy can straighten any curve on any track and do a double somersault in the process.

Until the rubber band disintegrated.

Which is when you would keep athearn in business by buying their rubber bands!

Quess I should have keept it more civil.

Bachmann makes the Acela(not 100% on the spelling) and it flies…the proto is well over 100mph and very quick. Check the HO model out on Youtube if you have time.

But the Acela is electric, not diesel.

There seems to be a large invasion of trolls lately. We need to start a force to stop trollism. Suggestions anyone?

Replace all bridges with causeways! Then we shall send them to Australia just like the British used to do…
