Where’d it go?
I just wondered the same thing. Clicked on the thread on Trains e-mail web page, nothing there and nothing here either. I was interested to find out the answer.
When my Mom worked for Frisco, she was a keypunch operator working on waybills and per diem. She’d talk about how much Frisco has to pay the other RR’s for using their cars, so I wondered what Amtrak has to pay. Hope someone can find this.
I don’t know if it’s relevant but Virginia Railway Express says that they pay CSX approximately $17 per mile per train.
