Re: Forum Hogs

But I don’t have any friends but YUZ GIZ[:O].

[#ditto] And we know who we are.

Wah!!!

Oink Oink![:)]

I’m glad that all the world’s woes have been settled and now we can tackle this!

Don’t forget people forgetting to unlock their caps.

Its not the amount of posts that matters…rather its if your posts are helpful and meaningful. For example, I have about 200 posts and Im proud to say that about 12 of them were meaningful. [(-D]

[#ditto]

except I have over 2,000 and all but about 6 of mine were just talk only about 6 are train related

Who cares who posts and how much.[sigh]

This is like something you step in and tracks all over the floor lets please wipe off our shoes and resume a normal respectfull forum where one can find comradery and train talk with the occasional off topic banter as well.

CSXect-it seems like one of these come out of no where now and then, stir things up and then crawl away. I’ll wipe off my shoes.

Forum

noun

  1. a public meeting or assembly for open discussion
  2. a public facility to meet for open discussion

None of the above, Rogruth. All we can do is encourage the hyperactive posters to exercise a little bit of self-control. My concern is that we may eventually face a situation similar to that which occurred on the other forum, where a “forum participation fee” was actually proposed to cover the expense of operating the forum.

JamesShannon, I don’t dislike any forum member, it’s only the saturation postings that I am objecting to, mainly for the reasons stated above. However, too much of a good thing can also get on your nerves. Let me give you an example, while I enjoy talking with my neighbor over the back fence once or twice a day, it would quickly become annoying if he started ringing my doorbell, or e-mailing me every fifteen minutes. Moderation is the key in all endeavors.

EDW is right. Wonder if a lot of this is done on company time? Some of us are retired. Some are not. HUMMM

[oops]

Well I just couldn’t resist.I had to see my post number jump one more time [swg]

It seems that most of the replies to this thread, including Bob Keller’s, agree with my way of thinking. That it doesn’t matter how many times a person posts here. I find it humorous and pathetically sad at the same time that people actually are concerned with the post counts of others. Chief Eagles has over 7300 posts. Doesn’t that make him the biggest forum hog of us all? I know I don’t have any where near that many. Some 2000 less than that as a matter of fact. Something to think about.

I’m going to post here as often as I want to. Sorry if that upsets some of you.

Just kidding. I’m not sorry in the least.

Oinkey oinkey! [:X]

I think the number of “ditto”, and 3-word posts has gone down since the “star” system was done away with. “Casual posts” are like a “family” conversation, and we are “family” here, right? I’ve seen comments on this and the OGR forum that topics should be STRICKLY train related. If I had only “how to fix a e-unit on a 736” type topics to read, I’d get a bit bored. Joe

BINGO, WE HAVE A WINNER!!

OK so for multi post rambling, are we supposed to go to the “Coffee Pot is Still on” thread? Curious mind wants to know.

The only dog in the show is YOU!!! Do the math. You called me a typical two faced politician. That I am not. Mayor Eagles is known for telling it like he sees it. You may not agree but everyone says, “You know where he stands.” I talked to you until I was “blue in the face”. Your words are I am posting to have fun and pass on information. Majority of your posts are nothing but I agree or other BS. You are so full of it, your eyes are brown. You are the two faced one here. Tried emails and phone calls to destroy long time friendships that were bonded a long time before the Aptiz name was ever heard of. John Seaman might have been a little too Pentecostal but he called you right and “hit the nail right on the head”.

Who appointed you mayor or chief or whatever here? We go by the forum rules and regulations enforced by the real moderators. Rules you’ve already broken by masking curse words.
