I was wondering that myself.
Seems like a good idea to me to have an after-hours moderator.
As for the current “wave of attacks,” it must be very difficult and exhausting to be so angry at everyone all the time.

I just decided to come on again and see what was going on–it took me until page 2 to find an actual topic. I like this forum, I like just about everyone on it, but this is just TOO much! Good God, tell the guy to either take some medication for his ADD or study his High School Diploma–assuming he takes the time to read ANYTHING, instead of just rant like a spoiled brat–to find out what it’s SUPPOSED to mean!

And actually on most forums I frequent moderators are people with a high post count that are responsibel and the members have rank. But these are on forums that are not funded by a company.
Here is my argument (a polite one) for multiple mods:
What time periods are most people checking the form? For me, it’s late a night or on the weekends. Now I am assuming bergie works 9-5(i am assuming, correct me if I am wrong). Then factor in the fact that there are people all over the planet reading this.
I hope they can get his IP address and ban it, unless he’s on dial-up.
Toast is one thing, but trash is another, so some of us need to be deputized to take out the trash when necessary.
I would second the nomination of Jeffrey.
I’d really like to see one of our members from Down Under with this power, too. That would give us 24-hour coverage without waking anyone up.
I’m not so sure about Jeffery, he hangs out at the “Beer Barn” a lot, lol. Just Kidding, Jeffery. This has been brought up a number of times in the past, if Bergie wanted another moderator he would have done it a long time ago. Don’t forget people, he gets paid to look after this site. if I was him I wouldn’t want somebody to come in and do it for free.
That there is called “job security”, and that is why they don’t have “deputized” users here. I don’t see a need for monkeys with guns, no offense.
