HI ADCX Rob,

I was wondering if you can give me some guidance.

I came across a post you made on the forum, while searching Google for the following: “lionel assembly 8021-100” this forum was the only hit for the search, as i was trying to find more information on this Motor Truck, Alco 2 position. This is for my Lionel Diesel, Santa Fe 8351, (6-8351). I got the instruction for the diesel and 8021-100 motor truck from lionel. I had this as a kid and wanted to clean it to put in service for my son, when i realized that one of the rubber tires is missing on the gear wheel. This is where i need the help.

The post you made was entitled -Re: Lionel Liberty Special, ADCX Rob replied on 02-11-2009 5:40 PM. Here is the hyperlink - yours is about half way down. http://cs.trains.com/trccs/forums/p/147714/1638558.aspx

You related, Ditto on the above comments, but this is not as “cheapie” of an Alco like you might be used to with 1960’s style production… it does have die-cast power truck side frames, & dual axle drive with 2 traction tires. The whole power truck assembly is far superior to the old 221/222/1055/1065 type units. It actually does run quite well and pulls it’s consist nicely.

First, it seems like you know a lot about the trains. second, the part of your post which i found helpful was - “does have die-cast power truck side frames, & dual axle drive with 2 traction tires.”

Although you might not be referring to the motor truck i have, the description is the same- does have die-cast power truck side frames, & dual axle drive with 2 traction tires - as the one
