Yes it was. At one time it was a passenger train on either the SAL, ACL or FEC. Once Amtrak came along, one of the railroads continued the name by using it for one of their Florida-bound freights (or frieght service).

The Orange Blossom Special was originated by the SAL and operated over the FEC, SAL,RF&P, PRR in the days before Streamlining. It was the All-Pullman, in-season, feature train of the SAL in it’s day.
CSX appropriated the Orange Blossom Special name for an intermodal perishable train in the mid to late 80’s. CSX no longer runs any trains by that name.
