I bet she does love those trains now… I’m pretty sure everyone knows there are worse hobbies out there.

Last time I had a competion License was USAC in 1969, 1970. Looking for place to play in the S.C. area. The CLOSEST track is Fort Dix New Jersey. We are getting the car ready for speed weeks 2008. Florida has a few shows for them plus some track time of you want it.
I have a leg that was CUSTOM BY CRASH so I have to move some things to get a better angle on the throttle. Need to replace the belts, they are 4 years old and chack all the welds and such.
But the chevy gets her heart racing. [:-^]

I drag raced a few years while I was in the Air Force (guys in the service tended to spend money on clothes, cars or killer stereo systems). Although my reflexes are shot and the strain on the wallet is even greater, I still enjoy watching it, but my heart is with model railroading. I can putter for hours, put something together or just do a little “landscaping”. Model Railroading IS the world’s greatest hobby…

I agree but, 3 times a year I will go play like I did in 1968!!! The trains have given me a lot as far as my health and good friends.
Is that a Rolls in the garage? I redid 2 of them and was stuned to how cheap you can get one for. But if they break they are still a RR’s.
I have been thinking about my Mopars that are in storage, sleeping for 2 years now. My daughter is getting married this coming Saturday and thinking about waking up Miss Lumpy and drive her to the wedding. (Miss Lumpy is a nick name a friend gave my 1963 426 Wedge Powered 68 Road Runner).
Boy I don’t need that itch going again.
