This happens at times. I prefer it to a troll attack, let me tell you. At least it made most of the way through the weekend before taking off on the auto trader tangent. As for my air conditioner problems,I’m trying to work it into the scenery. If you can’t handle that, oh well.
Hey Chuck, why did you post the exact same message on the Model Railroad Hobbyist Magazine’s website? It sounded like you were making the same complaint of that site.
Edit – by the way, I never look at the WPF thread except for scanning last weekend’s thread to see what you guys are talking about. (I maintain sanity by ignoring 75% of the threads.)

Ivan - great points, the WPF needs to be pictures of layouts of work that was accomplished over the weekend. Not blogs and members need to stop quoting the thread and have it post the same pictures in yellow with quotes. Some of the other sites - MRH and Railwire have divided thier sites into sections, i.e. scenery, track, DCC, benchwork. MR should look at that and keep a section for the lighter side like Elliott and Beer barn.
Wow, never bother to follow the WPF, didn’t know what I was missing. Still won’t bother now!

Guess the Auto Trader poke was aimed at me with the Dodge Daytona PIC I worked on was posted by me. I will restrain my car PIC’s on this site and keep car talk to PM’s only unless it happens to have something to do with trains.
Far as seeing the same PIC over and over and over again. I understand it because the other poster wants other people to know what they are talking about. But I all so understand why it may get on your nerves, does mine a little at times.
Commenting on other people work good and bad like saying “Jeff A/C unit takes away from is bench” should be OK as long as it not down right nasty.
Far as the widget thing on the last WPF, that was out of places, but again I understand why it was voiced. They saw there IP address there and that was why it was brought up. My self the widget thing does not bother me.
Only real thing I will disagree on is one posting per weekend! If you get one section done one day and another the next day they should feel free to post again! If a member post 30 times and all are different pictures great!
Far as becoming a social club, think of it as a Internet train club. You make friends and sometimes people meet that you don’t like. You talk with folks you like and stay away from the ones you don’t. I like the personal part of the site, I feel like I have made a few friends here.
I will try to stay on the rails here.

I agree its gone South and I also agree with Lou’s observations.
Here are three simple options you already have if someone behaves in a way that you feel is disruptive:

Ignore it and move on to other posts or subjects.

Send the offending poster a private message by PM or email, telling them why their posts annoy you and suggesting remedies.
It might not always feel easy to offer direct criticism on the behavior of someone who has not requested your advice - but at least it will be private. No pile of “me too” posts from wanna-be judges and wanna-be mediators creating a forum furball.

Everyone here has done at least ONE of these, so all of you quite acting like your a bunch of angels, we have more whining than modeling, and this thread is no different than the WPF thread you all are complaining about, which btw, alot of you don’t even participate in.
