Re-wheeling Roundhouse

I never thought I’d get to ask this…

I need to re-wheel some Roundhouse cars. Would I be right in thinking that they will have 33" wheels please?

Any recomendations? Do I recall correctly that one of the makers had a problem with wonky wheels a few years ago? I don’t recall who it was…

70 ton and less have 33" wheels, 90 ton and more have 36" wheels. Most Roundhouse cars are older designs so probably would be 70 ton or less cars.

I have 4 of there Bulkhead cars that I used Pro 33 inch wheels on. Very good rollers still after 3 years.

More specific information is needed to answer your question as not all models made by a given manufacturer will use the same size wheels. In addition to the wheel size, there is the often overlooked axle length to consider.
