This brings back memories! I rode behind her sister, #2102, on an excursion over the Western Maryland (now Maryland Midland) back in February 1972 - unforgettable![:P]
That is AWESOME! Looks like they converted her back to coal, too.
Good to have ridden behind 2102 Ken, but I’ll NEVER forgive Ross Rowland and Chessie for that garish paint scheme they saddled her with. [:D]

Randy I agree, I hated the Che~~e~~sie colors even on the B&O hood units.[xx(] Putting it on steam is… a desecration!
While the Chessie colors on a beautiful Reading T-1 is scandalous it just can’t compare to the desecration of her face. What a terrible thing to do to a T-1. Rowland will have to deal with the Big Guy for that one!
Now the Canuks have screwed up the 2100 by making her swallow oil. Now THAT’S a terrible thing to do to an anthracite burner!
At least we still have 4 T-1’s to see and appreciate. That’s more than many other great steamers. Maybe someday Steamtown will get the 2124 spiffed up or running.
I look forward to riding behing the 2100 again. The only time I got to see her run was on the excursion she made to Baltimore in 1964(?).

This crazy canuk had alot of fun changing the 2100 over to a oil burner.
we made it better for the ones who work with her.
Good by coal,oil is the way to go.
