The 4070 has been there for many years collecting dust, Now there will be two . With all the BIG MONEY around its a shame that it takes so long to get one reborn. Look at the money First Energy spends to advertise or buy naming rights. A lot of the coal hauled by steam locomotives was for their power plants. To bad they can’t chip in to help pay for restoring these wonderful giants of the rails.
4070 is being worked on, but progress is very slow due to lack of money. 4070 is owned by a different group than 2100.
I’m an engineer for BNSF and delivered the 2100 to the TRRA yard in Madison, IL (near St Louis). Quite an impressive machine.
