I use faux fur and plush felt as tall grass. I found an interesting advantage over other methods. It can be vacuumed. I had sawdust go into a field of fur grass and I just vacuumed it up. Static grass may seem the way to go but it is very delicate in a layout situation.

i used the faux fur method and i think it is an easy to deal with way of modeling tall grass. mine comes from a vermont deddy bear factory bear… no actual teddy bear were hurt in the process though, twas a swatch while visiting the factory
