Any Scandinavians want to check out that website at the bottom of the picture and see if it has any information? I’m sure lots of Swedes migrated to Great Northern territory as the railroad built west. Maybe they wrote home and boasted about what a fine railroad they had and somebody wants to keep the image alive in Sweden. Maybe there’s a Swedish chapter of the Great Northern Raccoons Club.

Seems to me a railroad in either Sweden or Denmark (probably Sweden) painted up an F-style “covered wagon” up in GN colors for use in a movie several years back. I’d have to go look thru my back issue magazines to find it, and I’m not sure where those are right now!

Beleive it or not but it’s a GM in a Swedish box. These units sound like an EMD but obviously don’t look it, so maybe this paint job might help it look more EMD.
