I want to install a kadee on the rear of an Atlas/Roco FP7. The existing horn hook coupler pocket is way too low. Before I start grinding off plastic, I was hoping that someone could give me some advice. I’m worried that there may not be enough material on the shell to attach the coupler box to.
Check the Kadee website, they should have the recommended coupler listed there.

These take a Kadee #34 if I remember correctly - Kadee have an excellent .pdf diagram of how to install them which suggests a #37, but I found the short shank equivelent was a better fit - closer coupling. Hope this helps
