I’ve made a little progress this week. Here are the pics.

The soil textures look great [tup]

I agree with Mike, and the ballast looks well done, too.

Great scenic work, there Bob. I love the appearance of that soil!

Bob

Love the landscaping and, of course, the dirt.

But, I also like your cement truck scene. I have one of those cement trucks and a bunch of workers with shovels and rakes. I punched a hole in the street in my town that fronts on the tracks, and I placed a small pile of debris from the workers digging the hole next to the hole on the street. They are preparing for the cement truck to dump cement to fill the hole. A dump truck sits nearby waiting for the workers to shovel up the debris and load it in the pickup truck. It can be a lot of fun to create street scenes like this with a little imagination.

Very nice Bob! I particularly like the weathering job on that Southern covered hopper. [tup][tup]

I’ve got to give credit to the original builder for the ground work, ballasting and part of the work scene. He is an excellent scenery maker. I’ve got a great base to work from adding the greenery. I just noticed I didn’t really get much shot of that portion of the work. The Southern covered hopper is all mine. I based the weathering on some pics in Fallen Flags web site.

Here are some more pics featuring more greenery in the southwest corner.
