Adding to the new software’s woes, I have noticed that the Recent Activity feature is missing several recent posts and replies. Some are shown, some are not, which means that it is difficult to spot recent activity.

I’m guessing that there are a few bugs to work out just yet…
Have you noticed that the number of posts is ever changing downwrd, too?
Sue
Hello I notice this last night I was looking for the missing contributors thread. You had some ideas about build threads? And I would like to no more about them. I wanted to check the thread to make sure I had the right member and make sure my question was not answered. But no thread. When you have some time would share your ideas. Thanks and have a nice day Frank
IIRC, that thread got locked due to some heated O/T replies…?
Hello it did get locked. But I thought you could still read them? If not you should be able to some threads have good stuff in them locked or not. Thanks Frank
Just to point out how flawed this new software actually is, a few minutes ago Recent Activity showed a couple of brand new posts. The next time that I clicked on Recent Activity, the new posts were no longer there.
I just wonder if the IT people are paying any attention to all of these flaws.

Has anyone other than me had problems posting photo links?
I don’t want to be a a bad person, but am considering making a video of the 37 mouse clicks I have to do until the picture link actually takes, & gets accepted…
BUT THEN!!! I noticed something…
If I add an extra line-feed [Enter] button, the up arrow to the previous empty line it will load on the first try.
I think it can’t determine the extents, I found a BUG. And a work around.
If you have trouble posting pix, please try that.
To address two questions at once: yes, I have noticed that the post counts are seriously screwed up. I should have over 2500… I’m not seeing ANY.
And to address your statement, Rich, as an IT professional, yes, I’m sure they are looking at all these flaws. At some level. The first variable is how much IT staff / support Kalmbach actually has at it’s disposal, and what is the workload. While I’m pretty confident that each bug in the software that has been discussed here, and a lot of others that aren’t readily apparent, are in someone’s “Issues” database, they may not be at the top of the “to do” list. Especially ones that are largely cosmetic, like the medals and disappearing post counts.
It’s also very possible that Kalmbach is using off-the-shelf software from a third party, and that they have to report major bugs back up to their supplier and wait for a patch to correct them.
Of course, someone from Kalmbach taking the time to address the issues would be greatly appreciated.
Nope. Two clicks here.
I click the “Insert Image” icon, paste in the URL in the window that opens, and then click “Insert”
First click this icon:
And then paste the URL of your image in the screen that appears, finally clicking “Insert”
By the way, here’s one of your photos inserted just the way I described. I know you said that you are planning to delete this soon, but just to show that it works.
Yep, that’s exactly how it worked for me. But all it generated in the thread was some random 5-digit number. This was clickable, but not a pic visible, which is what I’d hoped.
It could be Firefox thing, which is what I’m running, and thus works fine for others. Not a big deal, but it does have an issue for some of us.
Works for me. That’s the first time I ever did it that way too. I used a direct link. No IMG tags. I’m using Firefox 12.
