Has anyone attended any good railfan events lately
Last weekend I spent two days on West Somerset Railway, in England. They had a special gala to mark the 40th anniversary of the closure of the Somerset & Dorset line. They had several visiting locos of classes that worked over the S&D in British Rail era. I bought me a 2 day rover ticket and managed to get hauled by all 10 steam locos that were running.
The WSR is one of the longest preserved lines in Britain with a length of 23 miles.
