OK, so UP attempted to ban photography of its trains from Metra platforms on its three Chicago lines. Wisely, it quickly backed off – thanks to heat from railfans and the media – and perhaps, lurking in the background, the ACLU…
That said, if the ban was continued, what would they done about us photographing UP trains running on the BNSF racetrack or EJ&E? Huh?

The UP wouldn’t care those are actually BNSF or EJ&E trains running in a disguise so terrorists will be confused.
Well, sometimes “foreign” trains stop at Eola to pick up a pilot before heading out.

Think “THEY” are scanning Internet forums like this for keywords? Maybe some posters here intentionally mis-spell a lot of words – just to foil the G’s scanners? That would explain a lot…
