September 25th, 2003 Governor Kenny Guinn (of Nevada) proclamed the month of October to be the REBIRTH OF VIRGINIA AND TRUCKEE RAILROAD
“THE V & T LIVES”. The Commission for the reconstruction of the V&T and the Northern Nevada Railway Foundation are expecting the contract to cross the Overton Pit to be put out to bid sometime in November or December of this year.
