What have you done with odd bits of rail, ties, damaged/defective switches, box cars, locos etc rather than junk them?
Just trawling for ideas… and pics…
OR… what would/will you do?

Rail,ties,wheel sets and old trucks can be added to a maintanance/service track in a yard or by a loco/car repair facility. Or can be used for gondola junk loads.
Anything that’s defective …throw it out. Still useable… donate to a club, thrift shop or someone just starting out in the hobby. After all, we hardly have enough room for all the " good" stuff we have. Jerry
If I have a clear and ready idea for its alternate use, I keep it. If I have a weird feeling that I am close to figuring out a use for it, I keep it. If I look at it and nothing comes, it’s gone.
