Red and Green Paint for lightbulbs

Does anyone know where to get translucent red and green paint to coat lightbulbs used for control panels? The paint must survive the high temperature of the bulb surface.

Alclad makes a translucent type of paint used often for model custom cars, however, I don’t know if it can tolerate high temperatures.

One trick that may work for you is the use of the spray can automobile “engine block” paints sold at auto parts stores. Available in various colors. One thing though, I’ve painted light bulbs in the past and eventually ANY PAINT will burn off.

Friendly suggestion: Consider converting to L.E.D lights as they’re affordable now, come in various sizes, don’t get hot, and barring power surges, they last YEARS!
