Red Ball C Liners, what are they worth or what to do with them?

I have 3 Red Ball C Liners, 1 A and 2 B’s.

What are my options for these? I already have the Life Like Canada versions, so am not looking into doing the work to modify the Red Balls to be the same.

What I see as options are:

Keep them as is because they are old and collectible and worth a of money [(-D]

Turn the Bs into Robot cars for CP and BCR, have the A on a dead line, well weathered. This would however significantly impact their collectors value [}:)][(-D].

Any other ideas?

Edit: they are un-painted, with original boxes, making them supper valuable [tup]

Edit #2 What are they worth? I am assuming no real collectors value, hence all my sarcastic comments in my post, but maybe I am off base?

I searched e-bay.ca and e-bay.com, no Red Balls listed.

Any idea what they are actualy worth?

I have actually seen the Red Ball C-Liners on eBay, and they bring a nice little bit of cash.

For what they are, they are a nice piece of brass. The only C-Liners in brass that I have seen that are better than those were imported by Overland. I think with a little re-powering they are definately woeth keeping around.

I will say the PK1s are really nice as well.

As collectors items? so no changes should be done to them?

They are very crude compared to the Life Like’s, hence my idea of making them robot cars.

But if they have actual value as is, I will leave them.

Considering they don’t know if LL Canada, which is now True Trains, will make a B unit I’d keep them.As for the Cdn versions of the C Liners both 4 and 5 axle units these are limited editions with only a few left for sale across the country. (Just bought one of the 5 axle units from Georges, leaving 3 left. Sound DCC will be out in February so I’m told)

Thanks. The LL P1000 B units were done not long after the As and I have all I need so the Red Balls are not needed.

Sounds like you should turn them into cash for items you do need…

Agreed but are they worth anything? No listings on e-bay right now so not sure what they are worth.
