Rehab My Railroad Sidetrack Series: Madison Depot, Part 2 – Stitching windows
Very informative kitbashing segment David, but it also exemplifies the pitfalls of trying to be true to modeling a particular railroad and the key structures associated with that railroad, lots of work…thanks.
David,
I have always thoroughly enjoyed your “teaching” us on your how to videos. Great job. Looking forward to the next.
I have a very old Roundhouse Building kit that I kitbashed into a two story building years ago. A couple of the windows got broken and need to be repaired. The windows are no longer commercially available. This gives me an idea of how I can take the pieces I have and put them together with other window castings and fill in the holes. It will give it a great look, too.
Dave, where can I get an H.O. scale (ruler) or how do I convert from full scale to H.O. ?
Dave T.
Tedious work, but well worth it!
Hey David,
Scale Rules: I use a General HO scale ruler throughout this project. It also has a variety of other scale units on it as well. You can usually get them from Walthers or Micro-Mark, and hobby shops typically stock them too. Yes, they make building scale models much easier, and I wouldn’t work without one.
Enjoy the rest of the series!
David
David, how do you clean the brush you dipped into the Tenex 7?
