When I log into Trains.com, I do so to read and learn about trains-both real and model. It really ticks me off though to see someone use the forum to post and/ or express the fact that they’re religious and so forth. If they can do that, then I can express the fact that I’m an Universalist / Evolutionist, and believe that the universe was created by the big bang, and that all things including all life evolved from that event. Of course there are people out there that would greatly disagree with that as much as I disagree with their religious ideas. So how’s about we stop the religious stuff and stick to trains and railroading…
I’m not sure what caused the big bang futuremodal. I wasn’t there when it happened, but then neither were those that put all their faith in what they believe in either…
As for my beliefs. I’d rather think of them as sciences rather than religions, but if you prefer to call them religions I won’t argue.
Macguy, I’m trying not to mention any names so as not to hurt anyone’s feelings in particular, but rather get the point across. If you know of a better way, let’s hear it.
We are having these discussions on other forums. We all love trains that is why we are here. Use the coffee shops for other discussions, and talk trains for the rest. Just remember we all love trains, we all love trains, we all love trains.
what the hell? this thread is a bolt out of the blue!!! and besides…if someone wants to bring religion into it… why not…last time i checked the server was in the US… meaning freedom of speach to descuse what ever we want…and if relegion is sometimes brough into a trains forum…its fine with me…
and as far as the person that started this…if you dont like the topic…and it is “to religous” for your teasts…then dont read it…dont sit hear and lectur me on what can and cant be talked about…

I know at least two others have beat me to this punch. But, you are basically saying we should not talk about religion on here–without it really being evident that religion is a big topic for discussion on here–and then you give your religious views?
I smell more than one rat on this one.

P.S. Randy, do you have experience with Fairbank’s locomotives? Last I heard there was only one Trainmaster left in existence. They have always facinated me. Why do they start with a big bang?
Funny, you state you log on here to learn about trains, then go off on a crusade to ban religion from a public forum.
Didnt see a single question about trains in there!

The FMs the MILW had would collect carbon and raw fuel in the exhaust stacks, combined with alot of slop in the gear train the engine would light off the fuel and blast a bunch of carbon out the stacks.
For a long time I had a nervous twitch whenever I was around one.
