It would be nice to see SP 8268, SP 8283, and SP 8293 on a train, all coupled together.
Although it’s listed, I think that 8293 is toast…but don’t forget 5368!

How is it that there are considerably more SP and DRGW than CNW when the mergers were quite close together?[%-)][?]. i’m sure it’s gonna make me feel stupid when the answer comes out [D)] [(-D].
I can’t answer your question. I have seen the ex CNW Operation Lifesaver unit, it is now letter for UP but still in the CNW Operation Lifesaver paint scheme.
I see SP and SSW power most every day and Rio Grande power once in a blue moon. When I see a R G unit it usually isn’t good news as it most likely is headed for the Jenks shops.
Southern Pacific was considerably larger than CNW. I am not sure why there are twice as many DRGW units than CNW, but 5 is not a large quantity.
DRGW #3100 and 3129 are still hanging around Denver. I have seen them maybe four or five times in the last few weeks, my guess is that they have been doing yard work around. I just hope they will stick around for a while.
