I have watched the ‘How to install a remote mount tortioise switch machine’ video by Pacific North Central. I can’t make out which holes he is talking about, which side is up on the drive mechanism arm, what goes through the slide clamp plate or which screws go where. Many of the stock screws are discarded. The lighting and focus make it difficult for me to make out what goes where. As a beginner the directions even reading them through completely aren’t very helpful. Any suggestions. I am much better at pictures than words for learning.

Do you have the parts? I think the whole thing comes together much more obviously when you’ve got it in your hands.

I did this for a pair of crossing gates using a single Tortoise and two remotes. Not hard at all.
