Removing Bachmann shells

I have an HO Bachmann Spectrum F40 and SD40-2. I have tried to remove the shells to no avail. Any Advice?

Pop the fuel tank off. On many of the Bachmann locos I have there are two screws hidden under there.

Any advice on removing the fuel tanks without breaking them?

On my models the fuel tanks are held on a little snap on the inside. I just insert a small screwdriver between the fuel tank and the loco shell and give it a gentle twist. I just did it with my GP38-2 and the tank came away easily.

Wonder if he ever got the shells off.
