Usually. Sometimes I come across a decal that has a heavy layer of flat coat on it but most times the decal breaks up and can be removed quickly.
what about paint
If left too long it could take the paint off. Being as he’s talking about repainting it that shouldn’t be a problem. I just recently used it on a Stewart Baldwin AS16 to remove the cab number. Took a little scrubbing with a paper towel but the number came right off in under thirty seconds. Didn’t appear to have harmed the paint.
