Removing GP-40 cover

Was wondering the best way to remove the cover on an Atlas GP-40 locomotive?

Squeeze the sides and pull the front up hard.

Depends if it is a fairly new Engine (2001-2003) Then it is hooked under the Walk Ways and pull it out then lift the top off
