It seems that Kalmbach Pub. has move its phone renewal to some outfit in Tampa, Florida. The Lady that handled my call Was hard to understand & did not seem very understanding on the items I wanted & had no prior info on my past history. It was a lot better when it was handled in Wisconsin. Has anyone else had an issue with this?
I don’t know if it is just the phone renewal or all their customer service. However, I had opportunity to call when my September issue arrived damaged. When I called the lady answering took my name, all my account information, and said a new copy would be sent.
I waited a month but never received a new copy. So then I went the on-line route and filled out the information there. A new copy arrived in about two weeks.
So I guess I would have to agree that it looks like Kalmback is not getting their monies worth from the “new” people.
Don’t get me wrong…MRR is the best. But the subscription management needs to be reviewed. I have subscriptions that take in MRR print, Archive and MRVideoPlus.
For some reason I pay MRVideoPlus monthly (I think this was the launch deal) but MRR print and Archive annually. Recently I have had a number of renew subscription notifices that are all different and range from around $95 to $113. (International rates.)
I sent 3 e-mails asking for clarification and received e-mails with a link to subscriptions that clarified nothing. So I phoned. I live in the UK so that’s not cheap. The guy on the other end was as helpful as he could be but obviously knew little and had to constantly refer to someone else in the office. Subsequently I was on hold twice and the call took over 35 minutes.
A week or so ago, I e-mailed requesting that my subscription for MRRVideoPlus be changed from monthly to annual and yesterday received an e-mail asking if I could confirm that was what I wanted to happen.
I’m sure the guys in subscriptions are doing what they can, but what happened to the days when at the top of the MRR and MRRVideoPlus websites it told you when your subscription ran out? And the ‘manage your account’ gives hardly any worthwhile information at all.
As I said at the start…MRR is the best!
