Renovation of Orlando Amtrak Station completed
I have listened to local radio while travelling on train.
I wonder if they removed the decades worth of graffiti in the men’s restroom?
Kinda odd that in 1926 they spent so much money on the station. I was under the impression that at that point Orlando was a relatively small location. It was Disney that put it on the map, but Disney wasn’t Disney in 1926…
It’s shame SunRail doesn’t use it as well. All this work for a station served by two trains a day each way.
@DAVID HAISELL - They do use it. SunRailRiders, a local advocacy group for SunRail passengers, has been banging on about how bad the station was in comparison to the rest of the network, which I suspect contributed to the pressures to start this renovation.
Confusing info! I was here this year, and SunRail have their own station, platforms, buildings & ticket machines at the north end of this station, and hence SunRail do not use these platforms or station buildings.
