Reopening the old theme: It could not be true, or...

Hello

Sometimes we use unbelivable grades in our model railroad worlds. This picture, taken outside Oslo, Norway proves that sometimes the grades could be rather brutal in real life too.

Take a look at: http://www.dagbladet.no/nyheter/2008/10/19/550777.html

The picture was taken by a reader of the Norwegian newspaper ‘Dagbladet’

There was a deposit of masses nearby, causing the clay to slide little too much, causing the station building and the track to be moved several feet[:-^] during the night!

Something for your next layout?

WOW and I thought I had problems! Good thing they discovered it before a train did.

Too much akevitt – the tracks look fine to me [;)].

The other photo I have of a track at that lateral angle, there’s a N&W Mallet half-toppled off it! That was caused by a subsidence, not an upwelling incident.

If this was caused by somebody overloading the adjacent ground, I hope they have good insurance!

Thanks for the link. It made my morning.

Once again, I could not resist…

Are you looking for an interesting scene along the countryside, then maybe this could give you some inspiration…[}:)]

…yes, it is a horse, no Photoshop usage…
