I have had a 671 turbine with the atomic motor for awhile now and not in use…i went to put it ont he track and it did not work at all…the tender is in fine condition and works fine…but the 671 does not light up, no humming, no smoke…nothing…what might be wrong and how do i fix it??..could it be the E-unit or the wiring?..the engine looks fine on the outside and inside…but seems like it is stuck and getting no power…should i take everything apart and check everything and maybe put new wiring to motor??..i have never restored a double worm drive before…i have a 2020 double worm drive but it purrs like a kitten…just need a little help with this one…i have restored single worm drive motor engines but never this kind…please add any questions or comments…thanks
When absolutely nothing works, its probably something very simple, like the wire from the pickup. I’d look there first.
I once got a locomotive very cheap at a show. A buyer wanted the seller to show him that it ran before he would buy. It didn’t move or light or buzz, so he passed. I was watching and snapped it up for almost nothing from the disgusted seller. It was the pickup wire of course.
okay…i will check it out…but it is pretty simple to repair a double worm drive engine…i get kinda scared when i hear double worm drive…thinking its hard to fix…thanks
